New 2017 Superduties

I like it but am not surprised at the looks. It's identical to the leaked cell pic from jalopnik months back.

Aside from the other cool new stuff mentioned earlier, I like the adaptive steering and power folding steps. Plus they said a power increase was in play but no numbers yet.

There is a new trans but for the 250 only. I'm thinking putting that many gears in a truck with higher ratings was cause for failure concern. I think they are out of transmission real estate and making a HD truck with thinner gears to fit the case is less than ideal.

Also, slick move to use the same cab section as the 150. Still gives it a unique face with the bed and front clip, but realize more economy of scale for the aluminum sections. This will help minimize true price increases due to the aluminum switch.

New frame as I predicted many times, higher to top of bed as I predicted, I have predicted SAE J2807 compliant, I am sure it will follow.

One thing that surprises me it "LOOKS" like the puck system has the same footprint as before. Maybe with the higher rated frame B&W will increase their Ford Puck hitch ratings?

So far it looks like a huge improvement in looks to the 18 year old design.

Agreed 100%.

sound nice but 4" longer and 2" taller means a no go for me, since that means I can't get it into the garage. could handle the 4" longer (barely), but not the 2" higher, won't fit under the door. bummer.

blind spot monitoring,
multiple cameras,
trailer tpms
ALL very nice features IMHO, one's I'd like to have when towing.

Wonder if they will do like GM and introduce as a 2017 in early calendar 2016.

Grill is a little much for me but that doesn't matter, I would get the base model with the black grill anyway and build on it from there. Overall, I think it looks really good.

You have to wonder at Fords thought process here. This will kill sales of the 2016.

Actually not at all. They can't keep up with current orders and the 16 will be a longer than average pre-changeover year.
