New camper "2014 Autumn Ridge 278BH"

We have a 2014 StarCraft Autumn Ridge 278BH on order, it should be here at the end of the month.

Our old camper "2010 KZ Spree 289ks" was totaled by the insurance company, we cracked the frame at the weld points, this was at the axles. We must have ran over a big rock or something when camping in National Forest.

We didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a new camper but wanted a lot of the new upgrades that are offered right now. Our girls turn 15 and 17 this year and in a few years when they stop going with us DW and I will look at front living fifth wheels but until then this layout should work just fine.

We have heard really good things about the StarCraft Autumn Ridge and look forward to it's arrival.

  • I just picked up your exact same rig and love it. We've been out in it twice with little to no issue. Very happy with our purchase. Happy camping.

We went with the aluminum side, i thought we settled on a good price and should be able to just do a 48 month loan which is the best part on a new camper.

  • Bought a 2012 Starcraft new in June of 2012. Got rid of it by June 2013. Had way too many issues. Nails/tacs sticking and popping out of the walls. Loose squeaky floor, the list went on and on even after dealer claimed to have repaired. Just wasn't worth it to us. We had no sense of security towing it. Went with a 2014 Dutchmen.
  • I bought a new 2005 jayco 27bh in 2004 and lost it to a hail storm. we enjoyed it and found that the 2013 starcraft ar 278bh that we now have to be basicly the same trailer with a few upgrades. We have owned the starcraft since march of this year and it has been thru two hail storms sitting beside the house. Thanks to the insurance I now have a grand total of $3900 in a 2013 starcraft. It has small hail dings on three sides, but I can live with that for now.
  • Congratulations on the purchase! Good pedigree RV ... My previous RV was a Jayco.
  • You have a great eye for craftsmanship and quality. StarCraft has a 50 year Family run history, is now ran by Jayco (a 56 year old family ran company), and the Autumn Ridge is basically a Jayco Jay Flight aluminum sided RV. For many years the Starcraft buyers didn't get the famous 2 year warranty that the Jayco buyers did...but now the StarCrafts do have the same warranty.

Good for you...you'll find out that your new Starcraft will be a great addition to your family..enjoy it!

P.S.-When your daughters find out they have their very own space, and own beds with real windows in the back...you may find that they will go with you much longer than you think!
