I was rear ended with my cargo trailer in tow and insisted that the other insurance company paid not only for damage to the trailer but a full inspection of my truck hitch, reciever, bars, and truck rear end. About 2hrs shop rate labor to do an inspection. No damage found, as expected since it was a pretty mild shock, but non the less you don't want to have damage to the hitch reciever, etc. and have a problem later.
Never thought about that aspect, but is something that should be done and possibly even having alignment of the TV checked for the same reasons.
Worth at least trying to make a case for these with your insurance.
