12,200 lbs of towing capacity is a real-world pipe dream. Noting, of course, that standardized evaluation and testing procedures between all the big manufacturers won't go into effect UNTIL 2015...NOT early 2015 models. So if everyone plays nice, then 2015.5 and 2016 trucks should be effected.

I'd like to know what the test parameters are for towing that kind of weight. Funny that they don't publish that information. 12,200 lbs might be in a straight line on flat ground in 2nd gear not exceeding 35 MPH...??

Lighter weight trucks and greater towing capacity? Physics tells me that this won't end well in terms of stability and control. Won't be long now before RV.net members start posting on whether or not a 2015 Ford EcoBoost can haul their 32' 11,000 lb rig.

All well and good except they don't tell about the tongue or axle rating. Most likely that hasn't changed much.
