- bgumExplorerI did not intend to offend it's just that when people start running down something they haven't seen in person, haven't touched, used , know only price and nothing else it is usually because they can't afford the item. I am not here to defend Airstream and neither am I here to run it down.
BTW Ralph just add a quart of oil and your good to go. - jfkmkExplorer

It is in line price wise with many European caravans. If you can't afford something that is not a reason to knock it. The public at large will determine if it survives. Many of the same things were said about the 1929 Airstream. Has your manufacturers been around since 1929?
I could well afford it, but don't overpay for things just because I can. BTW, Airstream is owned by Thor I believe. - Ralph_CramdenExplorer II

As an Airstream owner myself......Even I find the price for the Nest to be over the top. For 10K less you can get the AS Basecamp which is much more versatile for this size TT. With that said, these will sell like hot cakes.....
What I want to know is can I tow one with a worn out 3 cylinder Chevy Metro lol. - NWnativeExplorerAs an Airstream owner myself......Even I find the price for the Nest to be over the top. - coolmom42Explorer IIFor that kind of money, I would buy an Oliver. Completely customizable interior fabrics, almost as stylish, 4X T105 batteries, high end converter, solar system, and built to handle backroads that will tear that Airstream up.
And WITHOUT nonsense like Blue-tooth controlled LEDs, a stupid name, and a doormat with the stupid name on it. Seriously??????? - Ralph_CramdenExplorer II

And that is supposed to impress a person.........how? At $75 per pound of carrying capacity they can keep it even though I could afford it, if I wanted to afford it. I am certain it will sell to the he man Airstream nose in the air crowd of which a lot of Airstream owners belong to, sort of like the attitude a lot of Europeans have when around Americans, so I guess the comparison is fitting after all. - toedtoesExplorer IIIA rear door is a major perk for some. You can slide a kayak, canoe, surfboard, bikes, etc., in through that door rather than having to find a way to carry them on the outside of the vehicles. It also lets you open up to the view when you're parked.
It's similar to other fiberglass trailers of that size, but you're paying for the airstream name. No harm in that if it's what you want. The windows are the main perk - that's got more windows than most trailers 4 times its size. - bgumExplorerIt is in line price wise with many European caravans. Everybody wants a quality RV until they see the price...
Quality doesn't have to equal absurdly over priced.
