If you were looking at a small pop up that could be pulled with a compact vehicle, I could see wanting to pay a lot even if the amenities are few. However you are buying a big pop up that will need at least a midsize truck/SUV with a hitch receiver rated to at least 600 lbs. It's also big so it's not going to be garaged to easy. Why pay that type of money for a pop up when you could get a travel trailer or a hybrid travel trailer that would take the same storage and tow vehicle.
While my trailer is significantly bigger and heavier, it's loaded and very luxury next to that Forest River Pop Up. My camper wasn't even $15,000.
For that type of money, you could find a nice Hybrid camper with a minimum 16' box with queen bunkends.
You could get a Jay Feather X17A or X17Z for less than my trailer optioned nicely or a X19H for the same price as my trailer, under $15,000. My MSRP was $20,106 and I got it for $14,300 + Sales Tax, nothing else.
With a pop up that big, you can get the same size Hybrid, even lighter, that has a lot more features and is less work.
If you thought of all this already, no big deal, good luck on the hunt for your pop up.
