One thing that I don't think that I mentioned is the gas mileage. I checked the first 2 tank fulls traveling from Kansas City back to San Antonio. I was constantly battling head winds and the hills of Missouri, Oklahoma and the Texas hill country on my way back.
My gas mileage before the new gears, the tune and the trailer was 18.3 on the highway. The worst gas mileage that I got while towing the TT was 10.1 mpg. That's burning 91 octane fuel.
Yesterday, I drove the truck without the TT to Rockport, Texas to check on my sailboat. It was 400 miles round trip and I made it down and back on one tank of gas with fuel to spare. When I was getting 18.3 mpg, my range on a tank of fuel was anywhere from 400 to about 440 miles so I'm getting as good or possibly better with the new gears and the tune. The next time I fill up, I'll check it to be sure.
At 75 mph, my engine is running at 2400 RPM's in OD (4th gear) and has plenty of power on 87 octane fuel, which is what it was tuned for.
If anyone has any questions, I'll try to answer them. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the results, even through the new found performance is only perceived, right Hannibal? ;)
