New Horizons TT?

From my conversation at the Pomona RV show, their 5ths can run 200K+. There is a lot you can do with <1/2 that. You could buy a used DP and have it re-done. or a new TT and have custom cabinets and interior installed, perhaps a full body paint. The NH units are super nice, but if you have to ask the price, it might not be what you are looking for.

The TT falls inline with the fiver Majestic costs, and they mostly sell to high end owners needing something very custom. This means most leave the facility well over $200g.

Back when Ron Nash (founder of Northwoods) was involved in the day-to-day operation of Northwoods, you could sometimes talk him into some impressive "custom" work.

My understanding (from talking to the production manager) there is not a lot of "unlisted" options and custom work available today. It just slows down the production rate too much.

The main reason for looking at the NH TT line was possible cost saving; well, after looking at online resources (still waiting for return call from NH), they are very close to the fiver price point, which negates that advantage.

I live about 75 miles from the factory and have taken a tour of the plant. Like someone else said they are a custom unit, the price is how you have it built. They build very few TT, and none before there ordered.

They do build a quality unit. If price is more important then quality there are other units made at a much lower cost.

Same can be said about motorhomes The maple cabinets in a Newell are 44,000 dollar option. You can buy 2 cheep trailers for that.

If I had the budget I would own one.

Forks RV also has custom high end TT units as well. While not a TT DRV and Excel build high quality units as well.

The main issue with Artic Fox is I'm in Florida, and have only seen 1 here (a very small fiver). I'm trying to get a return call from NH; their sales folks are in meetings, so I'm expecting something within the next couple of hours.

I realize that they will be heavy, but with the right truck that won't be much of an issue. Cost is my main concern; as much as I would love to have a NH fiver, the cost of entry negates it (even their Summit range tops $100k base) and, like a Bently, options can add nearly 2/3 to that total. For what I can buy a Majestic for, I can get a very nice, used Monoco pusher.

Saying that, I can buy one, but also enjoy small things like, oh, eating, that I won't be able to afford after purchase.

Nothing is permanent, no matter how quality it's made. Human beings can destroy anything given enough (or lacking enough) motivation. I just did the roof on my Salem; no leaks so far, though I did find some pretty bad areas that needed long overdue TLC. Mine was used as a beach house the first few years with zero maintenance; they even took the dang bed platform out and slept on the floor!

Knowing what I know about NH, I'm really hoping their TT line is a good bit less than the fivers, though the only line I saw was the Majestic; even if they were 25% less, that's still over $100,000 for a base TT. And if the options are priced the same, I may be looking, potentially, a $200,000 TT. The advantage of one is lower weight; than can be pulled with a 3/4 or 3500. One of the questions; is that for the entire range of floorplans?

Checked out all those when I searched; not really any definitive info in there. I'm really hoping to hear from an actual owner (if any exist). Also forgot; most of those threads are pretty old; looking for more up to date info.
