NEW OVEN ?

I am at a stand still on this project. I would like to replace the oven controller, burner and safety mechanism to solve my problem. Cannot fine someone who will talk to me about finding the right parts. Sounds odd but I think liability keeps them from telling me what parts will work. They only want to sell me parts for my specific model which are no longer made by Atwood or anyone else. Atwood really has left us hanging in the wind as consumers on this. Looking for a used unit but it is the smaller 17 tall. Hard to find

A new possibility I will look into. I can find a used unit but most are five inchs taller which I can work with if need be. I am really disapointed with ATWOOD on this

When I finally accepted the fact that my Atwood oven/range was not repairable I found a scratch-n-dent model on eBay. It was allegedly removed from a new RV because of cosmetic damage. It did have a bit of damage to it, but it functions perfectly and looks better than the one I removed (granted, it was 30 years old).

It was half the price of a new one. Might be an option for you.

The reason they are not available is due to vehicle regs- not Atwood's fault. http://erepco.com/ rebuilds mercury valves, they may be able to help.

Ed at Laurelhurst knew of my model and said mercury was a component and outlawed. He told me Atwood offered no alternative part which is disapointing but not surprising. I will do a bit more research to confirm. Thanks for the help though. I apreciate it

Surprised that Laurelhurst didn't have an optional replacement.

Well my excitement was short lived. Laurelhurst confirmed the part I need is no longer available and was actually outlawed due to it containing mercury. So new oven time. Atwood did indeed leave the consumer with no options. On the plus side I really like the folks at Laurelhurst Distributing and will keep them in mind for the future.
