No idea where you are coming from with that statement. EVERY TIME a diesel engine comes out, there is an increase in HP and TQ. And the current trucks are getting equal or better MPG to their pre-emissions ancestors, with twice the power.
I would be shocked if all three diesels aren't above 1000 TQ in the next few years. And I would be equally shocked if the big gassers are much more than half that amount of torque. At 30% or more less MPG.
