Over 340 hp at 1800 rpm. Wow.
Based on my last two 6.7's they have laid down around 87% of advertised HP to the ground on a DYNO. So the new CUMMINS should hit 350 to the ground right out of the box.
Dyno's don't give true numbers because the charge air cooler isn't doing anything sitting still.
Are you saying they produce more or less? They do have large fans blowing air into the front of the truck while doing the tests.
They produce more power going down the road. It's ahrd for any fan setup to produce enough air.
I can tell you it was a mistake for me to let my truck warm up fully as my first run was 15 hp or so less than the others with same engine and my second run was worse.
Bottom line RAM lays down a higher advertised HP than it's competitors. Have seen this many times. - 4x4ordExplorer III

OK Cummins12V98, what's you going to do? We will have to go to pizza again if you get one of these!
But it now has a cp4 pump and it doesn't have this majical emissions system that the Cummins woman was blowing kisses in his ear that we've been hearing about for the last year on this forum
She said she was working on it, she said it would be a 6.7 and it is. I have not seen any mention of what the pump is but I am sure it will be JUST FINE.
Numbers speak for them selves!
Her story is kind of like the Ford guy who, when Ford was coming out with their new model in 2017, promised Ford would be the first one to hit 1000 lbft of torque. - ScottGNomad

Nice looking truck. I love that 12” infotainment screen.
HP is kind of disappointing.

HP number doesn't bother me. That's more to do with high RPM's.
The fact that it still has EGR is severely dissapointing. - Bionic_ManExplorerNice looking truck. I love that 12” infotainment screen.

So since Cummins increased power output by increasing boost, does than mean the engine will fall apart just like people say it will if you increase power by doing the same with a tune?
I think you know they did a lot more than that!
Virtually EVERY head gasket issue on a 6.7 Cummins is related to an aftermarket power enhancing device.
Maybe I missed it but where was Boost increase mentioned?
It wasn't.
To say they "Just" increased boost is as wrong a statement as can be made. - ScottGNomad
