New Torklift Stow N' Go

I also mounted the StowNGo bracket. Our steps were mounted flush to bumper.

Stock photo shown with the drop mount arms isn't the only option. These are both stock photos.
If you currently have steps mounted flush to bumper they can remain so with Stow-N-Go bracket.
Or you can change how they are mounted.

StowNGo comes with 2 replacement bent horizontal arms to mount steps. Can be used, for flush or drop mounted steps.

Ours is a basement model, distance from door to bumper is a lot so have always mounted steps flush with bumper.
Addition of Stow-N-Go didn't change it (or I wouldn't have mounted).
Mine likely not the best example due to other mods but bracket shown flush to bumper

Only thing to watch is placement of holes for top row of bolts, mine ended up pretty tight.


Just mounted and relation to door. Ease of use, especially on the road amazing.
Not shown but we also use Torklift basement step to split the difference between door and bumper.

If you are referring to the static pressure of the tie down's (I remember that thread well. I've come to the conclusion that they cannot answer the question in a totally honest way because it would be a manufacturer (of the TC's) specification, not TL's.

I have no issue getting my 'Vehicle report' with my Ford. Only did it one time in 3 years though. Pretty much useless far as I can see. Don't even like the 'oil life monitor' thing. I change my oil every 5K miles anyway. Oil is cheap.

I have them and have had them for sometime. I did a prototype installation for TL on the Stow and Go steps on my Palomino and I love them. You need at least 3 inches below the door to mount the bracket. I had about 1.5" so I made a bracket to mount the (stow and go) bracket from 3x3 structural steel and welded that to the bottom stiffner on my camper. Worked out fantastic and TL has the pictures of my install. I'm sure they will send them to you if you ask them. Contact Kerstin Stokes at Torklift. She has the entire install procedure as well as all the pictures.

I have to tell you that they work (at least in my case) better than I ever expected and I like the adjustable landing feet for uneven surfaces. I leave them on (secured in the bracket) all the time, even when the camper is off the truck.

Mine is a 4 step and my camper sits 37 inches off the ground when in the truck

Yeah, those are steps heights.
I think I take my chances and order $125 bracket.

You could take the bumper off and do their recommended install right from the bottom of door...

I'm thinking your best bet is to call them and follow up with pics of your set up... They're great at helping and coming up with solutions.. You can add steps as needed.. so coming right off the bottom of door might work?

The above was factory picture, not mine. Thanks for the pictures. Looks like you have the wider steps, what helps. I did not know about the option when I bought mine.
So you and me have 12-4-8-8-8 steps and this is danger beside the bumper width.
I have seen some folding platforms added to bumper, where steps could go sideways, but that opens another can of worms.
So if I remove top horizontal pieces, cut top vertical pieces short, how the rest would bolt.
If you are comfortable with your set up, you might not want to worry about it, but my dogs has fallen down from those steps and I hate to see it.

I didn't see you had a bumper so coming straight out of the door/floo level, you'd have the 3-4" 1st step...

Yes, the bumper step is a doozy. I thought I have seen a mid step that goes on the bumper but not sure how that would work as it'd be a narrow one...

I do use the Fox hand railing all the time.. and I believe tork has a hand rail too that goes on the steps, can also double as a washer...

Your picture is not showing the door, but judging from storage door your set up is similar to mine.
The door is about 12" above the bumper, what makes danger step to start with. So you balance on narrow bumper to have next step 3 or 4".
Than next steps are every 8" (or close to it)
When we can deal with it, grabbing ladder for the support, it is big challenge for my small dogs.
So I wonder if I could rebolt the top side brackets and attach them to 1st step to be even with bumper.
Now seeing your close-up picture I think I can figure it out.

I'm not sure I understand the question as the 1st step would be just that, a 1st step, down apx 3-4".

With the bumper it's a lot more down to the bumper and then 3-4" to the first step...
