New Tow Mirrors

So New Years Eve day my son and I were heading to the Anderson's to get fuel and about a mile from the store this moron woman crosses the center line and takes out may mirror.

I had moved over as far as I could crowding a tanker. As she's come at me I could see she was looking at the woman in the passengers side! I blow my horn and I'm think as she passed the front of my truck she heard it, as she jerked the wheel at the last minute only hitting the mirror with her mirror!

She was in a 2012 GM Tahoe Denali. Have to say her mirror was totally ripped off her truck and mine was just cracked at the pivot point of the mirror.

So here is what I'm replacing them with. BTW since there were no collaborating witnesses and I never locked up the brakes to show I was in my line no one was sited. Even though she told the Officer that "I can't say that I was not in my line, but I think I was"! So I'm stuck paying for this myself. :M

  • Dash Cam as in... Full record mode every time you get in the car dash cam?

    That's a pretty good idea...

    X2

Well almost, ours was waiting for us today when we got home from a 5 day trip to the coast.

Looking at setup and getting installed asap. Had some jerk taking a curve in my lane a couple weeks ago.

    Don,

Maybe you could reinforce the new mirror?
Surprise the next bumper-car idiot. :B

  • Yes they are the same as the factory mirrors but with the 2009 turn signal added. The factory plug for the heat and power is the white plug with an pig tail for the turn signal.

  • I was driving 30mph on Klingmans Dome road this summer and got whacked. Scared the******out of us. Luckily my mirror had no injury other than a scratch and a light bulb coming out of its socket. Don't know how the other truck faired. I am now more conscious of my mirrors on skinny roads.

    LOL
There are on lots of vehicles in Europe with em, almost standard equipment.
Guess just one mishap would pay for itself :B
Let me guess Don, your a mirror up guy :W cause if she clipped my mirror while not in tow position she would have also nailed my rear fender.
  • Do those mirrors work with your remote control? The description doesn't mention that it is remote control.
