All driven by the Fashion Statement Crowd...who check off just about every option

Pickups used to be lower cost than econo-cars...mainly for folks who used them as
"TRUCKS", not cars as the Fashion Statement Crowd do. Now they cost
2x-3x or more than an ecno-car
Things that used to be laughable are now standard and/or highly
sought after. Like 20's, taller (ratings remain basically the same) and
the sidewall so high...can't lift a box over into the bed easily, etc, etc
Pickups and SUVs now has the highest margins for all OEMs vs much lower margins
for their cars
At these MSRP's, I can rebuild used trucks for way less. Of course won't have
all the bells and whistles the newer trucks have, but not into luxury for my TVs
and trucks
Another of course AC and extra rows of seats, but that is about all I need/want, but
know am in the vast minority...
