None of this should be a mud slinging or d I ck swinging contest.
There is value in buying new for some that can afford it and certainly value in buying used for the obvious reason...$.
I can say with great confidence that we are able to afford many more "toys" by buying used and waiting for the right deal.
Just because I could go pay cash for a new rig, boat, camper or all of the above doesn't mean I will unless it can't be found used.
If one is able to fix and maintain their own rigs even better.
Looking at our stable of dinosaur burners, It works for me to buy something gently used and sacrifice having warranty for the initial savings. After having done this for 20+ years I've saved enough $ to be my own warranty department several times over.
So I agree w the guy buying $10k trucks. If there weren't those of you buying new rigs every couple yrs there wouldn't be the deals for the rest of us.
