I agree completely. That is why I went out of my way to buy New Balance athletic shoes, because they are made in the US, and most other brands are not.
It did bother me to read just this morning in Automotive News the announcement today that Ford decided to spend $1.6 billion on a new small car assembly plant in Mexico, specifically in San Luis Potosi, that will create 2800 new jobs according to the press release. Yes, I know, the other automakers do the very same thing, but Ford is not innocent, either.

On the plant topic I'm not happy about that either and I can assure you that car won't ever go in my garage. I thought it was a plan to keep the larger SUV plant here in the states that produces the larger profit margin and move some small car to Mexico that has less profit. But I can assure you some small town in the US would be chopping at the bits to get those 2,800 jobs.
