We old farts sure do have our ways don't we... I got a somewhat newer Jeep one time way back then and they had apparently just replaced the flywheel/clutch in it. It was not a smooth clutch operation at all - bucked and jumped everytime...
So I nosed it up against a big tree and set there for a good five minutes slipping and burning my clutch and really had some smoke going..
As luck would have it the local sheriff guy drives up and asks what the heck are you doing haha... He didn't take too well with my comment I was trying to push the four feet diameter tree over... He finally liked my other comment about the grabbing clutch... He did ask me if I was on meds or something however...
You would probably go to jail doing that today...
My Jeep ran smooth as silk after burning in the clutch alittle bit...
