New truck or used truck? Ford vs GMC

We just bought a 2013 fuzion 310 toy hauler and I own a 2008 ford 350 swd crew cab with the 6.4 and just got back from a trip to Branson MO an got 6.8 mpg. The truck pulled it ok kinda! Unloaded I get around 10 mpg. I have found a used 2011 F450 but also found a brand new GMC 3500 Denali crew cab for the same price. I am probably close to the gvw fully loaded with the F350 swd. I have also found that the F450 gets the same mpg but can handle the load but new compared used. Ford vs GMC???? What's your options?

    I have a 2010 GM and a 2011 Ford. I much prefer the Ford. You can do some modifications to that 6.4 that will make a huge improvement to its fuel economy, reliability and towing capabilities. Post a question on Powerstrokenation.com and see what kind of response you get. If you are bent on a new truck I would stay away from an F450 for any trailer under 20,000 - 24000 lbs.
