Just remember to run your toaster or toaster-oven for the first few cycles OUTSIDE the TT. We tripped the smoke detectors inside our TT the first time we tried our brand new toaster.

Lets see....I would add lighter fluid for fire starting if you get too hard of wood or not enough kindling and a lighter. If you dont have power jacks, buy an adapter for a socket and bring a cordless screwdriver and run on slow speed, saves a lot of time.

When you get your walk-through, make sure they show you how to manually operate the slide. I have the tool for mine, but still don't know where I'd put it to make it work.

Thank you all for the replies. We signed the final paperwork today and did the walk through, I found several small items that needed fixing so left it at the dealership to get those items fixed before we take it home. Should have it home by the end if the week.

We love our Heartland North Trail, we bought our pre-owned unit early last year.

I'm guessing the previous owner did not winterize it, so we had an issue with the shower diverter early on.

Also there was an issue with wheel alignment that was causing some abnormal tire wear. And another North Trail owner recently confirmed he had a similar problem. So keep an eye out for inner or outer edges of the tires wearing, and take it to a big-rig alignment shop if it needs work.

Finally I found out the hard way the previous owner had hit a tree branch and we had some leaking up at the front cap. A tube of self-leveling Dicor stopped that issue. So get on your roof early on and inspect all caulked seams.

Welcome! We have found that having 2-3 shorter hoses, power cords, etc. has worked well. Most private CGs won't have the hookups very far from the TT, so you will only have to use longer hoses or connect several together on somewhat rare occasions. We have 25' hoses and (30-amp) power cords, 3 of each, and we have a 10' and a 20' sewer hose. Most times we use the 20', occasionally the 10', and one time we had to use both together.

Bring a Vacuum cleaner, Small spaces gets dirty and worn quicky.

Neatness goes a long way.. enjoy the new camper and remember if you don't use it you lose it..

Mbopp, I am towing it with a 2013 Chevy crew cab 2500HD Vortec. I bought the WD anti-sway hitch with the trailer. When I pick it up Tuesday they are suppose to give me some sort of class on the trailer and we will be staying the night in it on their on site RV park to get familiar with it. Thank you for the quick replies, I am making a list with all your suggestions.
