Yes, I really, really like the 19.5 set-up (Vision and Michelin) the truck is defiantely more surefooted and feels safer than the OEM set-up. The wheels & tires are heavier, and I notice them on take-off and landing. With the TC off, I have to air down, but even if I don't, they're not that bad, not as bad as I thought they might be.
Rolling down the hyway, the truck just glides along, almost effortlessly. Around town, I feel like I'm in charge, the truck moves like one of the big boys, demanding its space. Okay, I'm getting carried away a little, but it does feel great, with and without the TC on!
I'm jealous I called around and I was told that Chevy / GM trucks should not have the 19.5's put on. They told me with the independent front suspension, and the components that make it a "softer" ride, with those tires I would be running through replacing front end parts. Kind of discerning as I was hoping to get something more than load range E tires of my truck eventually.
Hey Jason,
How's it going with your TC. Hope things are on track. The Visions are wonderful! I know someone who installed the same set-up as mine on his Chevy 2500 crew cab diesel, and he said all he had to do was to shim the front torsion bar, and then a front end alignment, which was an easy thing to do. Keep your chin up, it'll all come together for you, and then you'll be lovin' and livin' life even more!!
