I was told to do the following math to figure out the total height of my tire.
Current : 265/25.4 = 10.433, *.70 = 7.3 + 17 (rim size) = 24.303" tire
Your tire : 245/25.4 = 9.64, *.70 = 6.75 + 19.5 (rim size) = 26.25" tire
Correct me if I am wrong. And my current tire does rub a little if I am backing out of my driveway while turning.
The Michelin's, 245/70R19.5's diameter is 33.6".
225's are 32.4".
265's are 34.4".
Bridgestone and Toyo's tend to run slightly smaller, like 1/4 to 1/2" smaller.
Check out Rickson Wheels at http://www.ricksontruckwheels.com/tires-195-truck.php
it lists all the tire sizes.
I was told that putting 245's on your truck would cause you to have to trim a little of the plastic wheel well trim, but an easy job and nothing noticable, to keep from rubbing. Also, you will have to shim the torsion bar up.
I guess I would only do these wheels if I needed the extra load capacity, which I did, do you think you will have to?
Anyway, I got my wheels from Alyeska Tire (Soldotna) ask for Issac, and the tires from Phelps Tire on Commercial, ask for Willy, they were both great people to deal with. Wheels about $1050.00 delivered, tires $1850 mounted, balanced and installed.
