Was in the same boat as you three weeks ago.
If you have the time, buy a new, as used are not worth it.
I said if you have the time as in my experience of purchasing vehicle it always take 10+ Visit at dealer to get the deal.
And trust me over the past ten years i bought 12 new car or trucks
When you buy new you have nothing to do for at least 80,000 miles other than fuel and a set of tires. (You can get the free oil change for 3 years for very little)
Consider adding $2000/year for maintenance on a new versus a used
Consider the residual value of both
I always look at cost per mile for my cars or trucks and I am way lower than what the IRS allowed.
Especially true if you are trading.
For me buying used is only better if you are financing and have a bad Credit history
