New wall coverings.

Has anyone recovered their interior walls in their travel trailer ? I'll say unfortunately my wife and I peeked inside of a new ?? magnificent Diesel Pusher. Besides everything else, we really liked how the interior walls we covered. They were done in a vinyl or leather material. The difference/impact really worked. So of course after leaving the topic was obviously could we possibly do that. We even considered a textured or cloth wall paper. What do you think of the idea ? Or should I say, would you consider it ?

Here I wouldn't consider changing the surface. As any adhesive durable enough for our high-heat/low-humidity would likely be very unforgiving of my installation mistakes.

This was my first thought as well. With the temp extremes that an RV goes thru, I would think anything short of paint would not stay very long

So...you do know me...lol, thanks for the advise

  • I camp in my RV (and have dogs), so I want something durable and easy to clean.

Cloth wallpaper while very pretty will soil easily and can't be removed to wash. Spot cleaning is never that effective.

Textured wallpaper again would soil easily and be difficult to clean.

Leather would be expensive; vinyl less so. This might be an option that is between cloth/textured wallpaper and paneling in durability and cleaning.

Paneling is still the most durable and easy to clean.

The other consideration for me is my clumsiness and antipathy towards housework - the combination really requires paneling.
