Newbie here, advice on tow rig?
To preface, sorry for the long first post. I've read about 50 pages of the diesel vs gas thread and it's exhausting, so I thought I'd start my own in hopes of getting some realistic non-biased advice....

But really, for the mileage you're talking about towing I could live with any engine in any vehicle rated to tow (and carry) the weight. If you go diesel you may want to get one old enough not to have a DPF. It doesn't sound like you would routinely drive enough to keep it regenerated.
