I would just get the 3.5 Eco and be better prepared for trailer purchase. This is why many say, buy the trailer, and get truck after, for towing it. The 3.5 will still make a good commuter when empty, and a better tower, if you find the perfect trailer, that is a little larger/heavier than you planned.
