I am sorry that someone took advantage of you for his gain.
Like I wrote before, this person purposely left the front of his Chevy truck out of the picture so as not to display the front suspension fully extended. There is a platform under the camper to allow the camper to sit in the bed. Without this, the camper would tip out. Optimum for a Truck Camper is to have the COG directly over the rear axle. Imagine what a teter toter does and how it pivots. Then look at the picture of the Craig's List add and you will see visually (I hope) my point. What is occurring to you is a frequent situation for people excited about a good deal on a Truck Camper, and you should be as Truck Camper's are great, but failing to thoroughly check out the facts with what you have, you end up believing someone that just wants to unload it and get money for it.
Sorry but there really is not a Band-Aid solution for you in the situation you have. What you might consider is placing this onto a capable utility trailer or placing in a stationary location like a driveway,patio or lot. I would not drive down the road with it, in the current configuration.
