Newbie trying to match a TC to my 1500 HD

Thanks for all the replies and keeping the hazing to a minimal:D. I am no novice to the world of towing, camping, etc. However, I am to the TC world, and will certainly listen to those that are more experienced. This forum definitely appears to be the most informative on the net. I am going to try to find a set of scales nearby and get weighed as soon as I can. It's good to hear that some of you are familiar and have real life experiences with the 1500 HD being it is not a very common truck. It is sort of discerning however, that these TC manufacturers can legally underestimate the weights of their products that much:h. It appears that GM wants to make sure they assume no liability, but the TC manufacturers aren't concerned about it at all.

Oh, fyi we will probably never take water with us since we stay at campgrounds that have it, so that may shave a couple hundred pounds off as well. I guess if it becomes a big issue, I could also consider a hardside camper without a wet bath.
