Thanks for all of the constructive advice and comments you all have provided. I just got back from the scales. I went to the local grainery and they allowed me to use theirs. I know it was not a "CAT" scale, but it was much closer so I hope it will suffice. And yes, everything was heavier than I expected.
All weights included myself (230 lbs.) and a full tank of fuel. I first weighed the entire truck. Then I pulled the rear half of the truck on to get a rear axle weight. I then pulled the front half of the truck on to get a front axle weight. Then I pulled the entire truck on the scale with my boat hooked up (boat off scale) to get the tongue weight of the boat. After I left, I noticed the lady forgot to record the front axle weight. I'm assuming since I have the total weight and rear axle weight that I can just subtract to get the front weight?
Again, all weights were with myself and full tank of fuel. Here are the results:
1. Truck weight = 6,520 lbs.
2. Truck weight w/boat attached = 6,740 lbs. = 220 lbs. tongue weight.
3. Rear axle weight = 2880 lbs.
4. Front axle weight (asuming I can use subtraction) = 3,640 lbs.
So, according to these numbers I have:
1. 8,600 lbs. GVWR - 6,740 lbs. = 1,860 lbs. payload w/boat.
2. 2,880 lbs. Rear axle weight + 220 lbs. tongue weight = 3,100 lbs. total rear axle weight.
3. 6,000 lbs. rear GAWR - 3,100 lbs total rear axle weight = 2,900 lbs. rear axle capacity.
Sooooo, it looks like I would certainly be over GVWR after adding the camper, an additional passenger, and gear. I find it interesting that it is almost exactly 1,000 lbs. difference between the GVWR and rear axle capacity. I think it is feasable to remain under the rear 2,900 rear axle capacity however. I knew this was going to be tight. Thoughts, suggestions??:h
