I have a cassette toilet and think it is the way to go. You can empty it at any regular toilet or sewer clean out. I have a pretty good sense of smell and have never had anywhere close to bad smell from emptying in a toilet using the proper amount of treatment. As opposed to waiting in line to empty your huge tank of black water at a dump station where others have splashed their black water all over the place, hoping you don't have to step in it. It even holds its own flushing water.
