I agree that RV dump stations can be disgusting! Certainly every bit as smelly & disgusting as dumping the cassette of a porta potti. One day I was even the cause of the mess.
It was a "2 hole dump station" at a local park. When I pulled up another camper was dumping on my drivers side. I got all connected and started the process while making small talk with him. All of a sudden I saw his eyes get very wide. I looked down to see that a hose clamp had failed and my black tank output was pooling under me feet! Twasn't a happy moment and taught me to tighten clamps better. :o
