I have a 2004 Travel-Lite Mountain Star 800. It weighs about 1550 wet. Mfg 1440 dry. I put it on a Silverado 1500 that came with a TRAILERING PACKAGE(SPECIAL)(REESE TYPE HITCH) PROVISION FOR HD TRAILER EQUIP and Z85INCREASED CAPACITY CHAS PKG.
When I load the TC it does not even hit the heavy bottom leaf! Even though I'm about 500# over the gross weight!
So check your truck RPO label to see what was built into your truck at the factory.
