Newbie with an issue

Hey everyone. I'm a newbie to this forum and camping looking for advice from the pros. I bought a Salem 30kqbss TT new in Oct of 2014. I have had nothing but issues, most of them have been resolved by the dealer. Granted it took multiple trips (6 I think). But there is 1 issue they have openly admitted there is an issue but don't know how to fix (going on 4th try). When towing at 60-65mph the roof blows up like a balloon in the front only. Now they are suggesting to glue the whole roof down. My thinking is the factory didn't glue the roof down for a reason. What issues in the future could I run into with the entire roof glued down? My second question is this a common issue? I appreciate any help or suggestions.
  • OK. I didn't realize it was glued from the factory. They have re-caulked the front edge several times with no change. They checked the horizontal crimp on the front of the TT (it's probably half way up) still no change. The only time they seemed to make any headway is when they started sealing under the trailer(cut the size of the bubble in half). So I'm worried that it's going to happen again becouse the problem has not been found. They cleaned house with the service dept so when I tell them you were on the right track they don't know what that track was. My luck..
  • I would say new roof is needed. Interesting that the dealer did not get the OK to fix under warranty.
  • Not common, roof should be glued over the entire surface. It will stretch then tear as it ages
