I have a 2012 AF1150. It was originally on my 2008 Ram 35000 dually. I added Stabil Loads to engage the overload springs earlier AND added air bags, running them at about 60 PSI. The rig COULD handle it, but it was right at it's limit and frankly was twitchy on curves and bumps. It occasionally porpoised on uneven highway. I upgraded to a 4500 and there's no comparison. No mods needed, instant recovery when turning, with little or no tilting, and it drives like a lexus. It's your call. Many folks on this site are doing fine with the 3500, but I still think your at or beyond the limits of the truck.
