Chassis is well proven. It's the same since 2011, when the boxed the frame and upped the GVWR.
I have a 2009 D/A 3500HD (dually) and a 2006 2500HD D/A. I love both of them.
Both have been trouble free. My brother has a 2008 3500HD DRW, it's been trouble free.
My dad has a GMC 2500HD D/A, it too has been trouble free.
