- NorskemanExplorerMay be a nice truck but way too much $ for a 1500. Wonder what the payload and pulling capacity is.
- NWKomfort350ExplorerI cant see why somebody would spend $57k on a 1500 . Diesel or not....

9200 pound tow rating is what I read. I haven't heard it will have any better payload then another 1500 ram. - hone_eagleExplorer27 mpg thats good right ?

This was in the article.....My gas rig has a better tow rating and I'm willing to bet, a better payload also.......All EcoDiesel Ram 1500s will be equipped with the ZF eight-speed transmission (the same one mated to the Hemi engine option) have 3.55:1 axle gears and offer a 9,200-pound maximum towing capacity.

I was already thinking it must include a dodge dart lol - VulcaneerExplorerI do agree that 57+K is over the top. But just curious...what would you think is a realistic sticker price for a pretty well optioned out model?
Kinda hard for me to think anything more than $45K sticker for a gas 1500. So maybe $48K sticker price for the diesel model. So my thought is this is maybe 10K high. Out the door for $40K or so. But hey, when it comes to vehicle pricing, I have been accused of still living in the 90's.
Considering well optioned 3500 Diesels are in the $65 to $70K range, I suppose that had an affect on the 1500 pricing. - fly-boyExplorer57k sounds way to high to me- this is just way more than my perceived value of a 1/2 ton truck.
I would expect to see a highly optioned 1/2 ton truck MSRP at 40k. Any higher than 40k and I would just buy a big truck and purchase a small vehicle for a daily driver.
A 1/2 ton truck (diesel or not) is just not worth anywhere near 57k to me.
