The market is driven by speculators. Those seeking to make a profit, quick or long term, are fast to buy on any promising news and that drives the price up. And they are just as quick to bail on any hint of bad news and that drives the price down. And automated computer buy/sell programs compound the problem.
............. We are not saying anything bad about electric vehicles here so no need to get defensive. We are just saying it is click-bait or stock "buy-bait" due to the broad and general hype created by the marketing departments of these companies.

I was certainly not getting defensive. I have no real interest one way or the other. But this topic typically brings out the "EV will never replace my ICE" naysayers. Surprisingly, it has not really happened this time.
Then you are reading what we were saying wrong because that is not what we were saying so no need to get defensive. This topic also brings out the people that say "EV's will replace all ICE in just several years" and anyone person who thinks logically and disagrees with them they call naysayers.
On the topic of being called a naysayer......I think you guys are not listening to what we are saying or injecting your own thoughts into what we are saying. We are not saying that EV's aren't growing or will not eventually take over ICE vehicles, we are just saying that it will take much longer than several years and there are a lot of hurdles that still need solved before EV's take majority or even a quarter of the market share. It would be foolish with the adoption of any new tech to not think about these kind of things. As they say in psychiatry, you can't solve a problem until you acknowledge them.
