GM seems pretty focused on getting their Ultium battery out there. This might be the first of more to come co-operative projects with other companies to speed up entry in the EV market, and specifically light truck market. Ford to some degree is doing the same thing with Rivian.
The only light truck manufacture not showing any interest in EV’s is Ram. I’m not sure what their strategy is here and can’t find anything on google indicating they even have a comprehensive program. Are they just planning to slowly give up market share and maybe just concentrate on a different market? The market of anything with a tail pipe is going to get smaller quicker as we approach 2030 as new laws and regulations kick in.
