To cut to the chase, it got 8.6 MPG. The truck had 2.9x gearing, so it seems like it would have been a bit better.
For comparison, the 2017 3.5 EB got 9 MPH, and the EcoDiesel got 13 on the same loop.

Based on the numbers I assume towing and 2.90 is really tall gearing for a gas TV.
Having watched the video it is clear that even with almost 400hp, the gearing is too tall for the seven speed trans, and 360 lb. ft. Of torque. The trans kept hunting more than the other two.
For the price you could get a nice 3500 SRW Ram/ Cummins and get better mileage and tow a lot more. Likely any of the big three diesels, in that price range would be nicely equipped.
If you like the truck get it with a lower gear ratio!
