For the price you could get a nice 3500 SRW Ram/ Cummins and get better mileage and tow a lot more. Likely any of the big three diesels, in that price range would be nicely equipped.
If you like the truck get it with a lower gear ratio!
A comparably equipped diesel 2500 would almost certainly be $10k more.
I am not the target market for this truck, but I don't buy that the problem here is pricing. The F150 that was tested was similarly priced, wasn't it?
