In the next couple of years I'll be in the market for a daily driver that gets great mpg and works for weekend Home Depot runs and pulling a 5K travel trailer comfortably. I was thinking of the Nissan XD but it appears to be a little too much truck to meet those parameters- too expensive and not enough mpg. I can get a Ram Ecodiesel equipped the way I want for about $35K. The Colorado diesel appeals to me too but those so far appear to be unicorns-no one has ever actually seen one. I have a feeling it will end up costing more than a comparable Ram 1500 anyway.
