Maybe I am crazy, but I would think that a smaller gooseneck trailer in the GVWR around 10,000 lbs would have been more appropriate. I would imagine that a Titan XD owner who pulled a Gooseneck would go for a trailer in the 7,000 lb (car trailer) to 10,000 lb (equipment trailer) range. And not one with duallies under it.
Anyone have any idea at what the GTW is for the dually equipped equipment trailer they are pulling? 15-22k lbs GTW ish?

Well Nissan even has print ads out with an almost identical trailer, with a back hoe on it even!
That trailer as tested was within Nissan's published tow ratings, and that's why they added the ballast to the rear. To some extent, I think they are simply limited to the trailers they have access to.
