Yeah, Nissan could have done something really impressive with that truck, but instead decided to try and tell the market what it needs instead of what it wants. I think if they would have put in full float axles with at least 6k capacity and a 10k GVWR, it would have been the only class 2b (3/4 ton) diesel truck with a payload of more than 3k and weighed less than 7k lbs. Not using the VGT turbo version of the 5.0L which has an exhaust brake is another downfall.
They would probably get more than a passing look by most truck owners if the did that.
