No Power - Unplugged from Shore Power

Just got my camper set up after being covered all winter. The camper was plugged in with a small heater running to keep it from freezing. About 18 months ago I installed an upgrade to the converter/charger in my 2007 NL camper (PD4655 - 55 AMP Converter) from Best Converters. It worked great until I unplugged yesterday. I have no power when off of shore power. When plugged in, the batteries are getting charged and are totally full of charge. What could be causing this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  • Any chance you hooked the battery up wrong? My converter has fuses for reverse polarity protection
  • Will try the switch when I get home. Does anybody know if there is could be an inline fuse at the batteries?
  • Check the water. Have you been paying attention to that?
  • The only right way is to put a VOM on the disconnected battery and take a reading.
The reading you get about the batteries being full could just be sensing the charging voltage going to the battery.
  • On mine, I believe the meter still registers when the switch is off.
  • The batteries are like 2 years old. I hope they are not toast. Ill check the battery disconnect. IF that was off, wouldn't the batteries not register when checking voltage?
  • Batteries could be dead or maybe you forgot to turn on the battery switch. I think my batteries always show full charge when plugged in.
