In the OP's case, yes it's apparent the manufacturer hasn't allowed for the possibility of dual batteries on the tongue. Many newer trailer models with a molded front cap also suffer in this regard. In my own case I was the one that created my own problem when I relocated my propane tanks from just aft of the tongue jack where the manufacturer had mounted them ...

As originally configured I could have easily mounted dual batteries, with my current setup I can accommodate just one 12 volt battery just in front of the tanks. With a custom box I might just be able to replace that G27 with a pair of 6 volt GC-2s but after thinking about it for awhile I think my preference now is to simply leave the G27 where it is and install a pair of AGMS - either G31s or GC-2s - in the front pass through storage compartment and switch between the two with a
