No tow mirrors

The mirrors on my truck are apparently an oddball size and won't fit most (any) slip ons because the chrome cover is a little larger? I will investigate the OEM style tow mirrors more. The CIPA slip on mirrors I bought for my F150 were handy to install, but they were smallish and vibrated terribly. In the meantime I ended up with a pair of Fit System universal clip ons that worked very well. The mirrors are large and slightly convex, and did not vibrate at all. They're a little awkward to install, but very doable.

Don't trust the dealer. The salesman and service writer were probably both flippin burgers when they applied for their current jobs.
I've probably been told more lies by car dealers than I have from the Internet, which says a lot since I rarely get near a car dealer.

The puddle lights on my tow mirrors seem kind of pointless on mine so I wouldn't lose any sleep if they didn't work. Some of the add-ons people have posted don't look bad, but it's nice to have an integrated tow mirror that's always available if you need it.

I was quite sure in 2015 the power folding option was available. I'd check again, if not these will work, but they aren't cheap, and they aren't from the dealer either.

You can swap tow mirrors from another Ram, but not below 2013. In 2013 they started putting the temperature sensor in the mirrors, which controls some aspects of the computers engine controls, therefore if you put an older than 2013 mirrors without the sensor, you will get a check engine light.

You will need to take it to the dealer to flash the computer if you are upgrading to something you dont' have already, i.e. puddle/signal light, auto dim, power folding etc And if you are deleting something you do already have, like power folding, it is possible it could introduce an error code.

I bought a set of tow mirrors for my 2013 Ram Tradesman from my dealer, they had two plugs instead of one, But the one plug operated the electric mirror and and temperature, the other plug was for the puddle lights which was non functional on my truck. The mirrors worked very good and are about to be installed on my recently purchased 2015 Lone Star.

Advise, buy from some where other than a dealer to save money.

Go to a Ram specific forum for advice. It is my understanding that you can swap out mirrors. You might need to have a dealer activate or delete some functions for you in the ECM, but you should be able to put tow mirrors on.

I liked my CIPA custom fit slip on mirrors for my F150. Worked great.

I have some Camcorder tow-n-see mirrors for the minivan now. Took me a while to figure out how best to install them but now they work great.

I have used CIPA custom fit mirrors for years. I was thrilled when I found out the mirrors I had for my 2006 F-150 fit my new 2014 F-150 by only replacing a $8 plastic wedge. I hated the look of the Ford Max Tow mirrors, big and bulky while I can slip my CIPA's off when not in use.

I've been very happy with their performance and ease of install. I wouldn't want to rely on them after dark since they vibrate more than stock. But that's my biggest complaint.
