The camper dry weight at 1700 is under the 2100 pound payload capacity, but wet and loaded weight with my kayaks and all would be about 2700 pounds. Getting the Ford maximum payload package for $3000 boosts the payload capacity to 2800 pounds. My question is, should I go with the factory installed maximum payload package, or have the Northstar dealer add Tmbren and other devices as needed to give me a safe ride?
I just had this setup...2010 f150 max payload and tow package, added timbrens, e-rated tires a plenty more mods. My camper, 2011 Travellite 800..1655lbs dry. It handled the load well but was close to 800lbs over on the rear axle. The stress of being overweight just wasn't worth it. If you get in an accident your hooped as far as insurance goes. Not to mention cringing when driving by scales and such. I have a 3/4 ton now and haven't had the camper loaded on it yet but it'll be relieving knowing that it's within its payloads limits and that's without the couple thousand $ in addons. Good luck
