If your buying the 150 hopefully its a 4x4 for good mileage and not hauling the camper a lot .
Why would you think that the 4x4 gets better MPG than a 4x2? The mileage ratings are done with a 4x2 so they will be higher. 4x4 mileage is a good bit LESS than the same engine, and gears in a 4x2.
4x4 also have lower payload, and lower towing capacity than 4x2
4X4 has the sterling axle, 2X has 8.8
Point? Look on any lot, and you will see. 4x4 MPG is rated 2 to 4 MPG under a 4x2. AND has a 200 to 500lb lower tow capacity than 4x2., and a 2 to 500lb lower payload. Mostly due to weight, and increased drag. Has been that way forever.
Looked it up. Same engine, and rear gear. F150. 4x4 23MPG highway. 4x2 26 MPG highway. Plain fact. 4x4 uses more fuel, and weighs more
My wording was wrong. Hell my wife is a teacher and she doesn't correct me. WILL YOU EVER FORGIVE ME!!!!!!! ;)
