Cassette toilet campers, since it is an entirely separate plumbing system, allows one to have the ability to camp in the winter and still use a BM fixture butt not need the full plumbing to to be de-winterized. One can use RV antifreeze or windshield washer fluid as the flushing fluid instead of water.
For TC's and the way I use mine, I would not want a fresh water toilet.
