Other than not actually reading the OP you are correct. But the OP was very clear when they posted. I am publishing a new self help book on communication. It is titled "Men are from Mars, RV.net members are from Venus"

I read and comprehended the ops post. Thank you. Mine was intended to make the point that Fords claims of the best selling truck are always against Chevy and gmc separately, which to me makes no sense. They are essentially the same truck, but the GMC has some nicer interior pieces and options.

As I said prior, I'm glad both are doing well, I like both, but thank you for the comment.

Ford is the highest volume truck BRAND. General Motors Corp sell the MOST trucks. Both are true statements. And it has been that way for many many years.

Ford chooses to make a point of their position. GM doesn't. Boils down to what each company wants to "Brag about" I guess.

But in the end, to me, it's nice to see 3 mfg of trucks that are pretty much equals. Boils down to what you want.

If we look a the evolution, Chrysler gets credit for stuffing a diesel in a 3/4 and 1 ton truck and showing people will buy them. For gets credit for recognizing that and getting the original powerstroke in the Fords. GM gets credit for finally stuffing in a transmission more than capable of standing up to the diesel torque with the allison. Didn't take long for Ford and Chyrsler to realize it can be done and they came out with some very good transmissions as well. And I have to give GM credit for realizing the 6.5 detroit diesel really wasn't competative and developing the duramax with Isuzu.

So, now we have 3 very good trucks to choose from. Great!!
