So if you went shopping in Cincy, I assume you're either in OH or KY. If you haven't already done so, spend some time online at RV Wholesalers. They're in Lakeview, OH. We just bought our second unit from them...a Rockwood Ultra Lite 2604. Their prices are hard to beat. RV Direct is also good, but no personal experience. Our new one had an MSRP over $30,000 and we paid $20,000. They don't post the prices, but you can pick one from stock or spec out exactly what you want, ask for a quote and they will email it PDQ. No haggling over price. What they email you is what you'll pay. They sell a lot of different brands....we happen to be partial to the Rockwood line....our previous was a ROO 23SS hybrid. Both times we drove from West TN to OH to pick it up and saved over $4000 on the ROO over the dealer here in town even accounting for the trip expenses. Suggest you at least get some info and if you decide to buy locally, you have a dandy negotiating tool, especially as close as you are.
BTW, if you want to finance, they'll handle it for you and we just got 5.49%....they deal with a bunch of banks and CU and will get you the best available rate. Also local dealers may tell you if you buy from RVW or RVD, you won't be able to get service. Not true. Good luck!
